The Leadership Training Institute provides trainings for New Yorkers living with HIV, Hep C, or practicing Harm Reduction. These trainings ensure that participants understand the key components of their own care and can address ongoing issues related to recovery, treatment adherence and can navigate complex systems of health and behavioral health care. Completion of foundational training affords participants an opportunity to “do their own work” to promote personal wellness as a precursor to being able to take on a formal role assisting others.
LTI’s Foundational Training Series (FTS) will take place in three parts, for a total of ten (10) days. FTS parts I & II will be three (3) days each, and FTS part III will be four (4) days. All three parts of the training series will be delivered within six (6) weeks of each other. Each training day will be 6.5 hours, for a total of 65 training hours.
